Erin Luhmann ’08 Wins New York Times Contest
2008 Gustavus graduate Erin Luhmann is the winner of an annual New York Times contest that will allow her to travel to Africa this summer with Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Nicholas Kristof. Luhmann is a former Peace Corps volunteer who is finishing up graduate school work in journalism this spring.

Alumni of Gustavus Adolphus College have a long tradition of involvement in Minnesota politics dating back to the late 19th century. Connor Ziegler ’08 was married on October 13, 2012 to Michelle Wilczak in Stillwater, MN. They now live in Farmington, Connecticut where Connor is a resident physician completing his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at UConn.

John and Sarah Pedersen Byrnes ’08, ’07 have returned to Saint Peter, after living and working in Saint Paul. John works as an English Teacher at Saint Peter High School, Sarah works as the office manager for Rising Sun Chiropractic in Saint Peter.

Danielle Koopman Steinbock ’08 married Lee Steinbock on October 6, 2012 at her parents house in Brewster, MN. They reside in Shaker Heights, OH. Danielle started a new job August 2012 as an operating room nurse & remain working part time as a leukemia nurse at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
